The 18-year-old high school cheerleader who died aboard a cruise ship earlier this month was found stuffed under a bed covered with life jackets, according to a media report.

Anna Kepner and her family were aboard Carnival Horizon as it sailed from Miami to the Caribbean when the straight-A student died. Her body was found around 11:17 a.m. on Friday, November 7. When the ship returned to port Saturday morning, the FBI was waiting and launched an investigation.

Thus far, little information has come out regarding Kepner's death. Police have not even said if they suspect foul play.

According to the Daily Mail, on November 6, Kepner was having dinner with her family when she said she did not feel well and went back to her cabin. The next morning, she did not show up for breakfast, and the family began searching the vessel.

The Daily Mail reported that Kepner's body was found by a maid who went to service her room. The outlet, citing two anonymous sources, reported that Kepner's body was found wrapped in a blanket, covered with life jackets, and stuffed under a bed.

Kepner was a high school senior and varsity cheerleader who planned to pursue a career in the military after graduating.

"She had just finished taking the test to join the military," the family told ABC News. "She was already talking to recruiters and had chosen her career path. She wanted to do something that would help her community."
