Dashcam footage shows an electrical worker in Louisiana dangling midair over the road from a traffic light after an 18-wheeler collided into the elevated bucket of his truck with him in it.

The footage shows the worker actively working on repairing the traffic light when the truck makes a turn and hits the corner of the electrical worker's elevated bucket, knocking it over. The worker is thrown upside down with the momentum and can be seen dangling over the road.

The incident occurred in Denham Springs, with the footage first being shared by Louisiana First News. It drew ire amongst social media users, who heavily debated who was to blame for the incident.

Some argued that the truck driver was at fault, making an error which could potentially have been fatal.

"Well somebody just lost their trucking license," said one user.

"Take the next 4 to 6 weeks off and hire a great lawyer to sue the trucking company. Set for life," said another.

"no way???? they didn't even try to avoid the worker!!! I hope the man is okay," wrote a third.

Others stated that the utility company should have blocked the lane off, indicating that the truck driver was not liable for the incident.

"Not the truck drivers fault. They should have closed the lane. I sense big trouble from OSHA and DOT coming their way..." one user wrote.

"That's on the utility company. Lane should've been blocked, spotter wasn't watching incoming traffic, glad he was harnessed up but that company is having chats with OSHA right now more than likely," noted another.

"Not the drivers fault... The work crew had no lane restrictions in place and the basket was obviously below 13' 9" height," said a third.

Denham Springs Police have yet to release information about the worker's condition, but @rawsalerts on X reported that the man sustained minor injuries and did not need to be hospitalized. The incident is still under investigation.
