A Mississippi woman was arrested after she allegedly robbed a Dollar General — then returned to the scene where police were still investigating, asking if her lost cellphone had been found.
The armed robbery occurred just after 9:30 pm on Sunday, May 11, at the Dollar General, KBTX reported. Authorities with the Gulfport Police Department say 34-year-old Jessinya Faye Ezell entered the store with a firearm, demanded money, and got into a physical altercation with an employee before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Officers were still on the scene when Ezell herself reportedly approached to ask if anyone had found her missing phone — the same one she had dropped during the robbery.
Police arrested Ezell and transported her to the Harrison County Jail, where she is being held on a $100,000 bond.
