A Florida man is behind bars after allegedly assaulting his pregnant girlfriend over two days and beating her two young children.

Anthony Reyes-Enos, 22, was arrested in Bradenton and faces multiple charges, including felony domestic battery by strangulation, aggravated battery on a pregnant woman, false imprisonment and aggravated child abuse, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say Reyes-Enos repeatedly attacked his pregnant 23-year-old girlfriend, including punching her in the stomach, before she managed to escape and call for help. After she fled, Reyes-Enos allegedly sent her multiple photos of her 1-year-old and 2-year-old children with visible bruises and injuries.

When law enforcement arrived at the home, they found the children suffering from lacerations, bruising and swelling. Emergency responders transported them, along with their mother, to a local hospital for treatment.

Reyes-Enos remains in custody and is scheduled for a bail eligibility review on April 9. Authorities say the case is still under investigation.
