A pregnant woman and her baby died at Lebechi Hospital in the Imo State in Nigeria after a team of doctors and nurses watched a YouTube video while performing an emergency Caesarean section.

Onyekachi Eze, the woman's husband and father of her child, recounted his tragic experience in a video shared by producer Stanley Ontop, according to Pulse Nigeria.

"Right in my presence, they were using their phones to watch a YouTube video on how to perform surgery. I lost my wife and my baby during the process," he stated.

Law enforcement later arrested the owner of the hospital and detained some of the nurses. The doctors, however, fled and police are working to locate them.
