A Texas teen gunned down his high school crush's stepfather "in retaliation for being rejected," allege police.

Cristian Gasca Martinez, 17, has been charged with murder in connection with the death of 37-year-old father of three Osvaldo Casas.

He has not yet entered a plea to the charge.

Martinez was arrested Thursday, more than two months after he allegedly shot Casas multiple times outside his Houston home, according to police.

The victim was believed to be confronting a "suspicious person" on his street before he was killed.

"I know the arrest isn't going to bring him back, but I'm happy he was arrested," Casas' widow, Judith Molina, told KHOU-TV over the weekend.

The deadly confrontation was allegedly sparked by Casas' teenage stepdaughter's repeated rejection of Martinez's advances.

"The defendant shot the complainant in retaliation for being rejected by the complainant's 16-year-old daughter, who the defendant had been stalking," court records stated, according to KTRK-TV.

"The daughter stopped seeing this defendant after the defendant assaulted and unlawfully restrained her," a judge further explained during the suspect's probable cause hearing, KHOU reported. "The defendant repeatedly called the daughter until she blocked the defendant's phone number."

"He was just mad that she didn't want to date him. That she wanted to do nothing with him," Molina told the station. "So, he was stalking her – stalking our house for days – which I didn't know about."

Molina administered CPR to her husband after he was shot, but he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Three days after Casas died, Molina welcomed their baby boy, whose arrival he was excitedly anticipating.

"Osvaldo was overjoyed at the thought of meeting his baby boy and becoming a father to a son," according to GoFundMe aimed at offsetting funeral costs.

Casas also leaves behind an 8-year-old daughter.
