A Texas woman was allegedly motivated to set fire to her ex-boyfriend's mobile home with him and his dogs inside after he refused to let her use the bathroom, said firefighters.

The deadly blaze allegedly triggered by 38-year-old Mirsa Lopez at a Dallas mobile home park Saturday caused damage to four homes and as many vehicles, resulting in the deaths of one man and three dogs, fire officials said, according to KDFW-TV.

Lopez's ex, Gary Fischer, was able to escape the flames.

"There she was standing," Fischer recalled of his former girlfriend asking to use the bathroom, according to KXAS-TV. "I said, 'Try later,' and I closed the door and locked it."

Moments later, he said he witnessed the fire outside his home.

"I saw fire coming in the top of the window and smoke filling the room quick. I mean, I could hardly breathe," Fischer recalled.

The fire spread to several other homes, killing a man and three dogs, including two of Fischer's own.

"They weren't there at the door. I expected both of them to be right there," he told the station of his escape.

During police questioning, Lopez allegedly admitted to starting the blaze by setting fire to a plastic bag and leaving it between a vehicle and Fischer's home.

She has been charged with arson with intent to damage habitat, according to WFAA-TV. It's unclear if she entered a plea.
