An Oklahoma family could lose their five-generation land over a group of squatters filling the property with garbage.

Mountains of trash, including needles, beer cans, gas masks, and several structures, are spewed all over the land, according to KTUL.

Grant McCalip, who is best friends with the homeowner's brother, told the media outlet,

"Man I can't even begin to describe what I'm sure they're feeling. I live out on the land that I was raised on. I know how proud I am and how it makes me feel to be there. I can't imagine walking into a place where you grew up as a child and looking around, and this is what it's become. It's got to be heartbreak."

The property has been in the family for generations; however, over the last five years, squatters have taken over and turned the land into its own village.

McCalip added that there's tons of drug use going on, but what he found most disturbing was ten foils where fentanyl had been smoked.

"Next to it was an empty Narcan container where the person who had used the fentanyl had obviously overdosed," he said.

Several weeks ago, squatters were allegedly escorted off the property by law enforcement only to return shortly after.

After looking into county records, KTUL discovered a lien had been added to the property that almost equals their entire generational property.
