Swastika-tatted Florida double murderer Wade Wilson will undergo a brain scan before a judge decides his fate, next week.

A judge will allow the 30-year-old "Deadpool Killer" to sit for an MRI and CT scan after a neurologist detected possible brain damage, according to WBBH-TV, WINK-TV and WFTX-TV.

"Based on a report by Dr. [Mark] Rubino, he recommended, well first off he found evidence indicating, possibly indicating traumatic brain injury," defense attorney Lee Hollander said before Lee County Circuit Court Judge Nick Thompson in court Tuesday, WFTX reported. "So in order to find it, or not find it, he recommended a radiological work up for traumatic brain injury."

Thompson approved the motion.

It's unclear when or where the medical appointment will take place.

Earlier this year, Wilson was convicted in the October 2019 strangulation murders of Cape Coral, Florida women Kristine Melton, 35, and Diane Ruiz, 43, according to prosecutors.

Wilson was also found guilty of grand theft, battery, and burglary in connection with their deaths.

For his crimes, a jury recommended the death penalty, but Judge Thompson will ultimately decide Wilson's sentence Tuesday.
