Recent news of a twenty-two-year-old inmate that was aided out of prison by his girlfriend last week immediately went viral. Served as a warning to those who are near the vicinity, the air was cleared rather swiftly with the apprehension of both suspects as per the authorities.

According to Chicago Sun Times, an inmate that had help from his girlfriend to escape jail was finally named by the authorities, that being Richard N. Campos. The twenty-two-year-old managed to sneak out of imprisonment within northwest Indiana, and was cordially arrested on Tuesday in San Antonio, Texas.

As per Fox 59, Campos was last seen on April 30, working as a trustee assigned to laundry detail at the Lake County Jail complex in Crown Point. The sheriff's office clarified the particular scenario, in which the escaped convict was said to have been assisted via a formulated plan.

It was believed that the escape was made in advance and that Campos was assisted by his girlfriend, Elysia Marie Jeronimo, only twenty years old from Hammond. As noted by NW Times, Campos is a member of the Latin Kings and was arrested last April 25 for operating a vehicle as he was intoxicated, and also on active warrants from Whiting and Hammond.

Both Campos and Jeronimo were taken into custody in Texas as stated by the sheriff's office. The couple was said to have attempted to flee, but was apprehended by San Antonio law enforcement authorities.

The Lake County sheriff's office declared that they will file for extradition for both Campos and Jeronimo. As for the escape, a more thorough investigation is to take place, but police claimed that the faults may have been caused by human error. To elaborate more on the matter, the detectives in Indiana were said to have worked over 72 hours, non-stop, for the tracing of the escapers.
