NC Pastor Charged With Indecent Liberties With a Child

A Monroe pastor got charged with sex crimes against a child last Monday. Though no longer considered new, the pastor was supposedly charged for something that took place a couple of years back.

According to WBTV, Pastor Ahmed Lee is charged with claims of indecent liberties with a child, as well as an assault on a child under the twelve years of age during a 2014 incident. The authorities came to the conclusion that the child was speculated to be just around eleven years old when the supposed assault happened.

As per My Fox 8, the thirty-six-year-old Lee is the pastor of Judah House of Praise International World Ministries in Monroe. Officers declared that the victim's family attended the church, in which the assault was said to have taken place at Lee's household.

The mother of the victim confessed that the incident transpired when Lee officially invited the family over for lunch one particular Sunday. She went straight in declaring that Lee sexually assaulted the son inside Lee's bathroom. On the account of presumed trauma, the woman's son withheld the secret until over a month ago, after which was officially revealed by the victim, as noted by TWC News.

The mother gave her sentimental statement on the matter, and was quoted, "Darkness will come to light and I hope that with bringing this corrupt behavior to the light will help others who may have been hurt will come forward." The police delivered that they are still doing their best to determine whether or not Lee involved other victims with the similar actions.

Many experts say that the case of a pastor molesting a young child has become a common norm over the course of many years, and that it renders the victims shocked and traumatized for a period. As for Lee, he is being held in the Union County jail, under a $20,000 bond.
