LG V10 units under T-Mobile can now be officially updated to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The upgrade was set to offer T-Mobile's very own features and improvements on top of Google's and LG's.

T-Mobile finally rolled out on its LG V10 units the official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update. The magenta carrier came second after Verizon, which was able to release Marshmallow since the final week of March 2016.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update on T-Mobile comes with features, like advanced calling and T-Mobile video calling on top of a slew of its original set of features. The upgrade is expected to end on May 06, 2016.

The new software version under the carrier is now H90120e. T-Mobile has not released a complete set of change log yet but it promised to make public new updates on the software after completing it.

The update is mandatory and will be pushed out in stages which means some units will receive the upgrade later than the others. If it has not yet come on the phone, simply go to Settings > General > System > About phone > Update center > System update > Check for update. If the update is already available, just press Download and Install. Otherwise, wait for the over-the-air (OTA) release of Marshmallow. To be able to download and install Marshmallow, the phone's current software version should be H90120c.

Before downloading and installing Marshmallow on the device, please be aware that it needs 50 percent battery life, Wi-Fi data connection, and memory space of at least 1.03GB.

In another news, AT&T has not yet expressed when it will release Marshmallow on its versions of LG V10. Upgrade was first undertaken by Verizon followed by T-Mobile.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow also brings its original features like Now on Tap, Direct Share, app permissions, better app links, new app drawer and the list goes on.
