LG G3 units in Canada finally received the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update. According to reports, mobile carriers did a simultaneous roll-out of the software, including Bell, Rogers, Virgin Mobile, Telus, SaskTel and others. Major mobile carriers in the US are expected to do the same. Apart from Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T and US Cellular are the mobile carriers in the US which have not released the Marshmallow update yet on LG G3 phones.

Among the four carriers, T-Mobile has the most generous details. Accordingly, G3 still is in testing phase. The company did not reveal yet as to when Marshmallow will be released on the device.

Meanwhile, versions of AT&T have been at the tail end. G3 model number D725 were last updated on April 06, 2015 with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, while versions with model number D820 were last updated on July 01, 2015 with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop.

Lastly, US Cellular G3 units are still running on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop. There are no clear statements until now when the carrier will release its update on the device.

Overall, there is still a lot to look forward to. For those who cannot wait for the official updated, several custom ROMs were already made available for the device based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
