'Into The Badlands' Season 2 premieres around 2017: AMC orders 4 more episodes for the upcoming installment

AMC president Charlie Collier officially announced that "Into the Badlands" Season 2 has been picked up and is expected to be release on 2017. The healthy numbers of live +7 and household ratings has affected the network's decision of ordering 4 more episodes for the 2nd installment. Also, season 1's finale episode is provided here for fans who have missed to watch it.

Charlie Collier, the president of AMC, SundanceTV, and AMC Studios, officially announced that "Into the Badlands" has been picked up for a season 2 renewal. Collier stated, "Co-creators and showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar, along with talented team of producers, cast and crew, brought us an artfully crafted series. We're eager to return to the world of barons and blades and spend even more time with these compelling and evolving characters across an expanded 2nd season.", Variety has cited.

Other than that, the season 1 of the post-apocalyptic drama did well with the live+7 and household ratings. According to Coming Soon, the series has garnered an average number of 5.6 million viewers per episode with 3.5 million viewers in the 25-54 demographic and 3.4 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic.The show has also been hailed as the third highest-rated season premiere in the U.S.

For a quick recap of "Into the Badlands" Season 1 finale episode, TV Guide reported that the premiere season ended with Sunny (Danny Wu) and M.K. (Aramis Knight) struggling to flee from Quinn's (Marton Csokas) grip, while the Baron's foes plotted a plan to defeat him and change the Badlands.

"Into the Badlands" Season 2 with its 10-episodic run is expected to premiere anytime soon in 2017 first and exclusive on AMC.
