More Detective Cornell’s perspective, split POV expected in ‘Secrets and Lies’ season 2; No premiere date yet

'Secrets and Lies' season 2 is expected to have more changes than the previous season. Forthcoming season will be told from Detective Cornell's perspective more than before as she takes on the real killer and few more obstacles. While everything sounds great, ABC is yet to announce the show's premiere date.

In spite her big effort, Detective Cornell has failed to imprisoned the real killer during the 1^st season. Viewers will expect tougher Cornell in the forthcoming season. According to TVLine, 'Secrets and Lies' season 2 is going to tackle the murder of Kate Warner, wife of Eric Warner.

 As read in the season 2 description, the season will center on Eric, a newly-wed and heir to his family's private equity firm in Charlotte, N.C. While he was on a party, her wife Kate was murdered. Cornell must find the killer and seek the truth regarding her death. There are a few suspects in the murder. This includes Kate's husband Eric, his younger brother Patrick and his wife Melanie.

IBTimes reports that this year, Cornell is more determined to catch the criminals and to make sure they get the due punishment unlike what happened during the 1^st season.  She is also expected to be more careful, especially since she will dealing with the very rich and influential people. Of course, things will not be easy. She has to face few more obstacles before finding the truth.

Actress Juliette Lewis, who plays the lead, also shared that season 2 will see more of Detective Cornell's point-of-view, which is different that the 1^st season. According to her, it is just sufficient to do that way so viewers will get to see how pressure her character is as she solves the case. As what also showrunner Barbie Kligman said, "There's more to her than just that woman that keeps popping up."

While everything sounds interesting so far, ABC is yet to release the 'Secrets and Lies' season 2 premiere date. The silence of the network has, in fact, made followers rant on social media. Some also worried that the season 2 might not be pushed through. But there is nothing we can do aside from waiting for that announcement.
