Nassau Top Official Edward Mangano Asked Authorities for Thorough Investigations Over Sexting Scandal

America's largest suburban counties top official, Edward Mangano demanded Nassau County Police Department for further investigation over his sexting scandal. The known executive of Nassau County on New York's Long Island has denied the said sexting allegations.

The Fox5 reported, Long Island Republican, Edward Mangano, 53 was accused of sending sexually suggestive texts to a public relations executive. The said public relations executive has accomplished worked contracts for the county. The married father of two had asked the Nassau County's police for to investigate the issue.

Mangano explained that his phone was hacked by someone, which public compare his explanations to Anthony Weiner, who was also involved on a sexting scandal back in the year 2011, ABC News reported.

"I am outraged at this smear attempt and will take legal action against the sick individual who has sought to assassinate my character and hurt my family," Mangano said. However, according to CBS Local, Mangano has not filed a criminal complaint regarding his hacking claims. The source wonder since it has been two weeks.

Police reported that that he filed a criminal complaint on which he stated on his complaint that he was the target of a social media "spoof." On the investigations conducted, a document from an unknown source was given to the investigators by the WCBS-TV.

The said document shows a "cut-and-paste of sexually suggestive texts from an 'Ed M.' and tweet from Karin Caro." Authorities also refused to show the messages in the public as well as refused to confirm that the phone number was from Mangano.

Investigators also checked on Mangano's official social media account as well as Caro's, who manages a public relations company. However, there was "no record of any such text or tweet," reported by the authorities. Police said on a statement that Caro said she never had social media communication with the Nassau County official or even have his contact number.
