Atlus' Persona 5 has become widespread since the early going of its announcement, and now, the team development team and the director himself has disclosed when the anticipated title will surface. The fifth expansion of the critically acclaimed series has promised more than just the continuity of a legacy, but also diversity in many ways.

As per past reports, Persona 5 was rumored of having delays within the year, in oppose to the original release period allotted for the game. However, some fans have confirmed that in the attempts to gather more information about the title, it was thoroughly affirmed that 2016 will indeed belong to Persona 5 with an authentic launch period.

According to Christian Today, Persona 5 Game Director Katsura Hashino claimed that the awaited Persona 5 will indeed launch this year sometime around summer. Moreover, he immediately debunked the rumors that the game will have a later release date, as some fans believe that delays are still possible at this point. That being said, gamers are still somewhat skeptical that the mark for the said launch will be met, but Hashino himself noted that the goal of the company is to launch Persona 5 on the aforementioned date.

In terms of plot, noted by Ecumenical News, Persona 5 will generally be slightly different from the other Persona titles in the past. The main characters are somewhat constricted from their own freedom by modern-day society mishaps, and opt to change how society has turned out by becoming phantom thieves. Gamers can directly communicate with each other through the character's mobile phones and coordinate their attacks as a unit.

Persona 5 is a PlayStation exclusive game which is to come out for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 hardware units. Keep posted for more updates on Atlus' highly anticipated expansion to the Japanese role-playing game taking the world by storm.
