Sony Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia C4 & Xperia C4 Dual Finally Head to Android 6.0 Marshmallow after Lollipop Update

By

Sony is taking a notch higher for its Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia C4 and Xperia C4 Dual phones, as they now move a step closer to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. These phones have just been update to Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Sony Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia C4 and Xperia C4 Dual are coming near to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update as it was expected following the confirmation from the Japanese giant. According to previous reports, the new build is hitting these devices just within the first quarter 2016 frame.

However, much to the dismay of everybody, Sony Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia C4 and Xperia C4 Dual owners did not skip the Android 5.1 Lollipop as announced by the company last year. It was confirmed back then that these devices will proceed to Marshmallow.

Xperia C6 carries build number 27.2.A.0.155 while C4 Dual carries 27.2.B.0.155. The update brings performance optimizations, several stability improvements and bug fixes.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update meanwhile offers some minor yet helpful features to the clock, a memory manager, and an option for messages to pop up on the lock screen.

Marshmallow includes a message on the lock screen to pop up. Before proceeding to the whole message, users will be able to take a glance right from the screen even when it is locked. The text is situated way beneath the date and time and less noticeable.

The new clock goes a little bit chic than the original version. Google tries to take a score with the app accessory by reshaping it into a more stylish digital piece that gives a visual influence. The date text seems in all caps, while the font of the time text gets a little thicker or bolder.

The new memory manager will certainly help fare the memory use of the device which has been an ongoing issue with the software. Marshmallow allows users to check how the memory is going over the last few hours with the installed apps individually listed. This works even without a third-party app. The Memory option in the Settings menu is the one monitoring all these.
