As Naughty Dog's Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is almost in the market, all bits of news and information are treasured by many fans of the series. Even those who are yet to their first try of the game, only the best promises await, though it could be the last time that fans will see the infamous Nathan Drake.
According to Ars Technica, the highly awaited fourth installment Uncharted 4: A Thief's End surely is one for the ages, as many call it. Sadly, however, that the game was officially confirmed by Naughty Dog of being the last in the series and the last time that fans will see the protagonist of the entire franchise, Nathan Drake.
Delivered by Parent Herald, Neil Druckmann, one of the creators of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, was quoted on his choice of ending the game with a heavy heart, saying, "We've been with this character for so long. He's at the height of his popularity, so it's not a good business decision, but I feel like the best way to honor him is to go out on top, to finish his story." In general, fans are to accept that Nathan Drake's adventures will not come to a halt.
The same cannot be said, though, for Sony that holds all the rights to the Uncharted series. In case that a continuity is about to come, Naughty Dog will no longer be the responsible people behind it, as Druckmann has also turned over the said franchise. He also iterated that a sequel would be very hard to make from where they left off.
In other news, Attack of the Fan Boy noted that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End may be closing in on a few tests recently. With a few months to go before the awaited launch, Naughty Dog may be polishing all the right spots as the game moves towards its unveiling.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is slated for release on April 26th in North America, whereas it will launch in Europe on the 27th and UK on the 28th. The said title is a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
