LG is releasing its new flagship, LG G5 in the market shelves soon. The new device is said to launch sometime around the first quarter of 2016. While the new device is not yet out in the market, published reports are discussing the interesting specs and features of the upcoming smartphone.

According to Vine Report, the device is believed to run under the new Snapdragon 820 chipset. The report also mentioned some of the specs and features of the new device from Phone Arena. Specifically, the display would consist of 5.3 to 5.6 inches, 1440 x 2560 resolution IPS LCD panel. However, the device would not include any Force Touch. Further, related report mentioned that the new device shall have a dual camera setup with 16MP in rear and 8MP in front. There will also be a laser autofocus and color spectrum sensor.

The BitBag mentioned that the next LG G5 Phone is suspected to have some iris scanners for its security lock. The external design will also be made up of metallic instead of the usual leatherback. It is known that LG Shine was the last to be seen with metal body.

On the other hand, GottabeMobile reported that Google announced an update which would replace Android 5.1.1 Lollipop over the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. To recall, multiple Nexus, Motorola, HTC, and LG devices already received the new Android software. Though, it is unclear if the new LG flagship shall carry Android 6.0 upon its debut.

As of the moment, the South Korean Company does not have any official statement yet regarding the specs and features of its new flagship. LG has to release yet information regarding the release date of LG G5. Enthusiasts can wait for the mean time for more announcements from the smartphone firm.
