Alexis Wright, Maine Zumba Sex Scandal Update: Police Release 21 Names of Client List

By

The names of 21 men involved in Zumba instructor, Alexis Wright's alleged prostitution ring have been released Tuesday after District Judge Andre Janelle rejected a motion to block the identities of the around 150 clients last week.

The age and addresses of the alleged clients will not be released and it is still unclear when the next batch of names will be released.

On Friday the attorney of the alleged clients filed a motion for the court to block the names from being made public. Ordinarily the court would have already disclosed the identities, but did not do because of this motion. Judge Janelle however dismissed the motion as well as injunction. One of the clients' attorneys, Stephen Schwartz said that he will appeal the decision to the Supreme Court.

According to Schwartz, the release of the names would do "harm to their personal reputations as private citizens, their professional reputations, and their professional relationships,"as reported by ABC News. According to ABC the list of clients includes many prominent political and social figures.

On Tuesday, Alexis Wright pled not guilty to 106 charges for running a prostitution ring outside her Zumba studio called Pura Vida Studio. In addition to the prostitution charges, Wright is also being charged with invasion of privacy and tax evasion. The 29-year-old zumba instructor refused to talk to any media.

The police were informed by the studio's landlord, Bee Nguyen, who noticed a number of suspicious men constantly in and out of the studio. Upon investigation, police say they found about a 100 hours of video evidence.

Currently, around 45 alleged clients have been summoned to the District Court in Kennebunk, Maine. It is unclear whether the identities of these men will be made public.
