Head Belongs to Chinese Student Murdered by Porn Star

Montreal police confirm on Wednesday that the head discovered weeks ago in a park belong to Jun Lin, the Chinese student suspected of being murdered by Luka Rocco Magnotta, a 29-year old Canadian porn star.

The severed head, which Commander Lafreniere claimed was crucial to the case, is confirmed to be that of Lin, giving the prosecutors the evidence they needed in the gruesome murder case.

After allegedly murdering Lin with an ice pick, Magnotta defiled his body and sent the various body parts to political party headquarters and two schools in Vancouver. Last month, packages containing human limbs were recovers in Vancouver, Police Commander Ian Lafreniere told BBC News that "They were the same limbs we were looking for," referring to the missing body parts of 33-year-old Jun. Investigators also claim that Magnotta had eaten some of the victim's body parts.

Last month, Magnotta was transported from Germany to Montreal in a military plane. Canadian Justice Minister Rob Nicholson confirmed his arrival to BBC News. Nicholson also thanked the German authorities "for their swift and decisive action in this matter," as reported by BBC News.

Magnotta was arrested in Berlin after an employee in a cyber café recognized him from the newspapers. Magnotta had fled to Paris, France and then to Berlin, Germany. The capture of Magnotta was a huge victory for police enforcement. According the Montreal Gazette, the police Commander of Montreal called the search for the alleged killer "the biggest in the Montreal force's history." The search has since involved Interpol and 30 investigators from France's national fugitive search unit.
