‘The Mummy’ reboot is an upcoming adventure-fantasy film based on the original horror films of the same name. Jake Johnson of ‘New Girl’ and Annabelle Wallis of ‘Peaky Blinders’ have officially signed on to star in the film alongside leading man Tom Cruise. Filming is scheduled to begin in April 2016.

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will reunite as the lead protagonists Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, respectively. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who also worked on the preceding two films, has signed on for the newest project in the franchise.
