Roman Catholic Church's William Lynn, who was the first US Church official to be convicted in a criminal court for covering up sex abuse claims, has had his child endangerment conviction reversed its decision by the Philadelphia Court of Appeals.
A judge in Saudi Arabia recommended that Raif Badawi, an imprisoned blogger, go before a high court to face an apostasy charge, which would carry the death penalty if convicted, CNN reported. Off-duty Los Angeles bomb squad officer Don Thompson rescued a 72-year-old man from his burning station wagon after a freeway crash on Christmas, The Associated Press reported. Thompson was treated for "serious injuries, including first and second degree burns plus smoke inhalation and abrasions after pulling a man in his 60s from his burning vehicle Wednesday,"
