Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes excited for their first child; Marriage plans still hazy

By

Mom-to-be Eva Mendes is set to give birth to her first child with partner Ryan Gosling this October. The couple has been dating for three years after meeting on the set of "The Place Beyond The Pines."

Mendes' pregnancy has just been recently confirmed by a source to US Weekly. This after the couple kept mum and evaded the watchful eyes of the media and the paparrazi for several months.

According to HollywoodLife.com, Gosling and Mendes are both thrilled and excited of the news. Mendes, 40, has been ready for a motherhood for a while now, a source of the news site spilled.

However, marriage plans are still murky for the couple.

HollywoodLife.com reported that a source close to the expecting couple revealed to OK! Magazine that Ryan, 33, has no intention of marrying Eva. Although Gosling is thrilled for him becoming dad-to-be, he is not convinced that tying the knot is necessary just because they are having a baby.

Though Eva Mendes wanted it the other way, it was reportedly claimed that Ryan was able to change his beau's mind on the matter.

Following the news of the pregnancy, pictures of the possible image of the couple's child has been circulating online. Forensic artist Joe Mullins used the latest computer technology to predict what the child's couple will look like. He blended Ryan's and Eva's facial features to come up a digital illustration of the kid's image.

Meanwhile, a source close to Ryan's ex-love Rachel McAdams told OK! magazine that the actress is devastated of the news. The ex-couple dated for several years before finally breaking up in 2007. Rumors claimed that the two finally called it quits because Rachel was not ready to have children with Ryan.

Both starred in the movie "The Notebook" in 2004 that stole the hearts of millions.
