Days after the world discovered that former sweethearts Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama had rekindled their romance via the singer's latest "Really Don't Care" video, a set of images shared from the "That 70s Show" star's Twitter account showed private photos of the couple, including an offensive Photoshopped image pointing to the former Disney star's fuller figure.

Daily Mail said the offending photos included an image of what appeared to be the 21 year-old posing topless for the camera. A few of the photos showed Lovato in a state of undress, and some were of the couple in their intimate moment. What appeared to be the most hurtful of all was a doctored image of the Powerpuff Girls, which featured a giant character labeled as Demi dwarfing over the cartoon trio named as Miley, Ariana and Selena. The doctored image also came with the caption that read, "She's fat as f***."

It remained unclear who had hacked Valderrama's account, but the actor clearly had made steps to reduce the damage the photos could have done on his girlfriend.

On both his hacked Twitter and Facebook pages, the 34 year-old wrote similar messages announcing to his followers that his microblog account was hacked and urging them to spread the word. Moreover, he deleted his Twitter account shortly.

Like all social media services, Twitter allows users to report abusive or offensive content. On the other hand, Twitter suggests taking security precautions like changing your password or installing security patches to avoid future incidents of the account getting compromised.

Daily Mail noted as Valderrama had made steps to protect Lovato, it has been noted that the images were leaked earlier in April. Moreover, the British tabloid connected the hacked account to Lovato's latest statement at her New York Pride concert on Tuesday. During a performance, one of her male backup dancers donned a mask of the face of Russian president Vladimir Putin and nothing else and shared a kiss onstage with a fellow male dancer. The performance earned a string of angry responses on Twitter, with some calling the stunt "disrespectful" and "unacceptable."

Lovato responded and tweeted, "I never called anybody a piece of s***... But I did have Putin struttin' in a rainbow thong. Get your facts straight bitchesss. Yesterday was incredible. So happy. I love you @NYCPride!"
