2017 TV Premieres: Fall-Winter Gap Programming

By

For TV viewers, it's always a long wait between the end of the fall TV schedule and the start of the winter TV shows. Luckily, networks have gotten better by premiering gap programming between the fall and winter seasons and also premiering shows much earlier in January than they used to.

Along with the holiday marathons, E News has put together a 2017 midseason calendar, including winter return dates to help out viewers with the tangled web of television insanity, just so they may look forward to this winter and spring. However, the schedule is still in the works.

Sometimes the networks even shuffle things around and change their minds after dates are announced. This was evident in year 2016 as the networks released a lengthy list of cancellations, according to Cinema Blend.

Despite the possible shuffles, the networks assured that there is definitely a chorus of shows airing on the major networks, but also on cable and via alternative streaming sources, along with the holiday marathons, this winter. Listed shows that haven't been given official return dates and stuff that is expected to premiere later in the year

Premiere dates of everything from Sherlock to The Bachelor to Scandal and everything else viewers possibly need. Fan are particularly excited about the new episodes of Sherlock.

Some episodes of Sherlock have followed some prominent stories in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's canon, which includes "A Study In Pink", modelled after "A Study in Scarlet", as well as "The Hounds of Baskerville", modelled after the original title, "The Hounds of the Baskervilles". Several other episodes, pulled bits and pieces from various Sir Arthur Conany Doyle, works to tell a different version of the stories.

Meanwhile, some other surprises on the list include the Arrow, Switched at Birth, Supernatural and many more. You can check out the complete list here.
