It appears that Carmelo Anthony has a no trade clause for his current contract with the Knicks, though things have been a bit complicated the star is all set to remain with the New York Knicks. One man reason is because he does not want to displace his family.

It's not only the NBA stars that need to relocate when a trade deal is accomplished, their family is also involved. Anthony is totally concerned about the idea of taking his son out of school to a new environment as per NBA.

Since his family is all set at New York it will be a tough call for them to come out of their comfort zone, Anthony said that his wife has been working in New York and she has all the opportunities there but at the end of the day it comes down to his decision for his career.

While the trade deadline is approaching on February 23, he further said that he is not thinking about it plus he also has a no trade clause in his contract.  He has not told the front office yet that he will be willing to go to only certain teams, just as when Anthony's future looked alongside with the Knicks there have been rumors about the Cavs wanting him.

According to Sporting News, the Cleveland Cavaliers are looking forward to acquire Anthony and the Knicks are looking forward for the deal before the trade deadline. Anthony had signed a five year extinction with the Knicks in 2014, for $124 million.

Looking at his future prospects he could roughly make around $25 million this season and $55 million for the following two seasons. He has also been linked for other future trades with the Clippers and the Celtics the superstar could possibly get the player option for 2018-19.
