The long-running case involving Erin Andrews and the footage taken by a peeping tom at the Marriott Hotel at Nashville has finally reached a settlement. The attorney of the sport reporter officially made a statement regarding the said conclusion.

As per Go Current, attorney Randall Kinnard was quoted on his statement, "The litigation is over. The terms of the settlement are confidential. Erin Andrews is satisfied with the settlement, and she was very courageous throughout this litigation."

According to E Online, the lawsuit originated from a 2008 footage of Andrews that was posted online, wherein she appeared nude while changing clothes in a hotel room. The culprit, Michael David Barrett, pleaded guilty after a year to stalking the said sportscaster and shooting the video through a peephole in a room situated next to Andrews'. As punishment, Barrett was sentenced to a good 30 months in prison but Andrews did not stop there.

It was noted by Huffington Post that the hotel was also sued by Andrews for over $75 million. In March, a jury arrived at a verdict in the popular case, deciding that Barrett was 51 percent at fault in the scenario and has required him to pay out more than $28 million to Andrews. The owners and operators of the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University, West End Hotel Partners, was declared of being 49 percent reliable for the case and asked to pay out more than $26 million.

The co-host of Dancing with the Stars filed papers end of March and claimed that the Nashville hotel owner as well as its operators should account for the total of $55 million. Andrews argued on that the hotel defendants are jointly to fully liable for all the plaintiff's damages. As for Barrett, no news has been heard of if he will spend any less time in prison under whichever account.
