HTC has been tipped anew by famous Twitter leakster @LlabTooFeR that it will be releasing in March the official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to Desire EYE phones. First units to get Marshmallow will be in the European region.

HTC Desire EYE phones will be making a huge jump to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow as early as March 2016. This information was leaked by @LlaTooFeR on Twitter stating that the update will come in Europe with Sense 7.0 user interface. However, the tipster did not make mention which country in Europe will the update kick off and when it is coming to the United States.

The tipster first revealed the update for Desire EYE on Twitter last February but never did the drop, at least, the month. Sense 7.0 UI will bring a few tweaks to user customization, a wide variety of themes to choose from, flatter and simpler look, notification-based card, and many others. Performance also has one of the biggest changes brought by Sense 7.0 to the phone's chipset

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will bring in several bug fixes for MMS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and camera, and a new and updated collection of emojis. The Marshmallow launcher, meanwhile, will come in with a whole lot of improvements in apps and software configurations, plus new and fresh features straight from Google dev. These include the battery saver named 'Doze', smarter Google Now with more accurate suggestions and recommendations, apps permissions, direct share, additional mobile payment systems like Google Pay, Visa, Discovery and Master Card, and supports for Android Pay and fingerprint scanner, among many others.

HTC had already released Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to some models of One M9, One M8 and One A9. Slated for update soon includes One M8 EYE, One M8s, One M8 GPE, One ME, One E9, One E9+, One E8, Desire 820, Desire 816, Desire 826 and Desire 816G, among many others.
