Travis Alexander, the victim of the brutal killing by her ex-girlfriend and defendant on trial, Jodi Arias, had called Mesa police and reported that his car tires were slashed just four months before his death, ABC News said in an exclusive report. 

The 'criminal damage' incident listed Alexander as the caller to his Mesa, Arizona address, but he did not indicate who he suspected committed the act.

The call was made to the Mesa Police Department on February 2, 2008, and had not been introduced to the jurors.

Arias is charged with first degree murder and if convicted she could face the death penalty or a life in prison sentence. She initially denied killing her ex-boyfriend Alexander, but later said she killed him in self-defense.

The prosecution has depicted her as a vengeful and jealous murderer.

Arias has never been charged with anything stalker-related, but references have been made to spying throughout the trial. 

Judge Sherry Stephens indicated that attorneys will begin delivering their closing arguments on Thursday. The trial began on January 2.

Last week, prosecutor Juan Martinez called Robert Brown, a detective for the Mesa, Arizona Police Department's forensic computer division to the stand. He testified that he examined Arias' cell phone, and found several photos that were taken on June 3, 2008, one day before Alexander was killed. The photos, shown to the jury, presented Arias with brown hair. Earlier in the trial, a California rental car agent testified she had blonde hair when she came to his agency and rented a vehicle for her road trip to Arizona during that period.

Mesa Police Detective Esteban Flores also was called to the stand, detailing the inspection of Alexander's home and the closet where she claims she retrieved the handgun used to shoot Alexander.

Arias claimed that Alexander attacked her when she dropped his camera and she ran into the closet and grabbed a gun he owned off a shelf, the Huffington Post reported.

Prosecutor, however Martinez believes that Arias stole the gun she used to kill Alexander from her grandparents in the weeks leading up to the murder.

Juror #8 was dismissed last week, the third to be dismissed.
