Given the latest news reports swirling around game developer Bungie, it seems the studio is currently juggling with a lot of internal issues. These include the departure of company president Harold Ryan despite the ongoing success of the developer's projects and the rumored delay of 'Destiny 2.'

Although speculations about the company's operations and status are rampant at this point, it is not yet clear if these two factors are connected with one another. Also, it's still unconfirmed if Ryan's decision to leave caused the studio to postpone the launch of the sequel to its online first-person shooter.

According to a report by Kotaku, the follow-up to "Destiny" was supposed to arrive in September of this year. But, based on claims by the site's insiders, it seems Bungie will not be able to release a sequel in 2016 due to the studio's shifting decisions regarding its possible direction.

This piece of detail about the rumored delay might sound a bit vague but as noted by Uproxx, the studio is apparently having a hard time prioritizing its current projects. On the one hand, it is busy trying to come up with new DLCs and special events for the original game while on the other, it is also focusing on developing the sequel.

But then, adding to the studio's growing list of hurdles is the sudden resignation of Ryan. The former executive, however, has not yet released a statement regarding his decision to leave. But, his departure has already been confirmed by Pete Parsons, the company's acting CEO.

Of course, news about Ryan's exit from the company came as a big surprise since he's been the company's president ever since it took on the "Halo" projects for Microsoft in 2000. Also, it's a bit baffling as to why he would decide to leave the studio especially since it is now benefiting from the success of "Destiny" and its expansion "The Taking King."

Hopefully, these issues, including the delay of "Destiny 2," will be addressed by the company in the near future. As for the sequel, there are no details yet as to when it will come out but according to Day Herald, it will reportedly be titled "The Shattered Suns" and will be set in Planet Mercury.
