Nagmeh Abedini has filed for judicial separation from her husband Saeed Abedini due to abuse and pornography addiction. Saeed Abedini is an American pastor freed this month after four years of custody in Iran as part of prisoner swap.

The wife of Saeed Abedini submitted the court documents the same day he returned home to Idaho. Nagmeh Abedini claims that she has been abused by her husband for many years.

On January 16, 35 years old Saeed Abedini was one of the four Americans released from Iranian prison. After being sentenced by an Iranian court in 2013 to eight years in prison, he was freed under a negotiated prisoner swap. The US agreed to release seven Iranian prisoners as part of the exchange, as reported by Yahoo News.

Saeed and Naghmeh Abedini had a pleasant reunion with their children, Rebekka, 9 and Jacob, 7. However, upon arriving in Boise Idaho, all turned sour as Nagmeh told the public that Saeed threatened to end their marriage.

Daily Mail reported that Nagmeh deeply regretted that she hid from the public the abuse that she have lived for most of their marriage and asked for forgiveness. She is hopeful that this horrible situation Saeed has had to go through would bring about spiritual change and healing to their marriage. "Tragically, the opposite has occurred," she said.

While Nagmeh Abedini filed the legal separation, she admitted that she wanted nothing more than to run to Saeed and just welcome him home. According to Reuters, she posted on her Facebook account that she had taken temporary legal action to make sure their children stay in Idaho until the issue with her husband has been resolved.

In 2013, an Iranian court sentenced Saeed Abedini for allegedly compromising Iran's national security by planting home-based Christian churches in the country. Meanwhile, Nagmeh Abedini said that three months ago, Saeed demanded that she do certain things to promote him in the eyes of the public, or he would end their marriage. She then apologized to her followers in Facebook for not opening the abuse sooner.
