Samsung is officially heading out to roll out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to Galaxy Note 4 phones in the coming weeks. Although, there has been no exact go-signal going around yet, the official over-the-air (OTA) release of Marshmallow has been already expected in February.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phones are ready to take on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow through OTA update. According to recent reports, Samsung is expected to let out the device by the first week of next month. This speculation was prodded to be true, as a Canadian carrier has announced its plans already to a Samsung phone to be updated with Marshmallow slated on February 4.

However, there is neither strong information as of now linking the possibilities nor anything that debunks the report. Despite being long overdue, Marshmallow is seen to be developed smoothly in Samsung's lab.

Last year, Galaxy Note 4 owners vented their brought by overdue updates for Galaxy Note 4 in various community forums of different sites. Until now, there not even one carrier that was able to roll out Marshmallow to the device. Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile last updated their units with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, while US Cellular with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes with the new and updated features in battery management, connectivity, user interface, apps, controls and security, among other aspects.

Google developers have devised an innovative way to wisely control battery consumption. A power saving feature called Doze will automatically put the phone at rest when sensed idle. Even when the phone gets totally drained when owners is asleep, alarm will still set off. With App Standby, it controls the impact of apps seldom used to prevent from battery drain.

For Sprint update, its very own Global Roaming feature will allow device owners to use the phone even when out of the country.
