The studio who brought Underworld series to the big screens has now confirmed the film's release date. Screen Gems announced that the upcoming action-horror movie would be released on October 21, 2016. Meanwhile, Kate Beckinsale goes to LA alone but happy.

The Underworld is written by scriptwriter Cory Goodman and will be directed by Anna Foerster. Meanwhile, Kate Beckinsale will reprise her role, Selene, as the lead protagonist. The actress opted to continue filming the latest Underworld installment despite her breakup with long-time husband and director Len Wiseman, as reported by Lawyer Herald.  The actress has been spotted around LA without a ring and going solo, although the actress admits that the two of them remained amicable for the sake of their kids.

Meanwhile, Korea Portal reported that the movie will pick up after the events of the last film, Underworld. The last part feature Selene waking up from cryogenic slumber only to discover that humans have begun hunting both Vampires and Lycans.

There have been no clear details yet as to how the plot goes, although National Post reported that Selene will start to show her human age in the upcoming Underworld installment. There are also rumors circulating on the internet that Selene will have another child and that she will remarry to an unknown character. However, all are just speculations, and there are no concrete facts yet.
