Eleven-year-old and sixth-grader Bailey O'Neill is in a coma after a reported schoolyard fight with at least one other student. O'Neill, likely the victim of bullying, is in a medically induced coma after an incident at Darby Township School in Delaware County, as reported by ABC affiliate WPVI -TV.

Bailey's father, Rob, told the news station that is condition is a result of a January fight that left the boy with a broken nose and concussion. After Bailey began having seizures, doctors at A.I. duPont Hospital put him in a coma, The Huffington Post reported.

"The doctors say it is a blow to the head," Joy Fecanin, the boy's grandmother told the Delaware County Daily Times. Bailey's father said the boy who bullied his son was suspended for two days and police have not filed any criminal charges.

Bailey is a sixth-grader and honor student at Darby Township School. After the altercation, his parents took their son to the hospital in Wilmington where he was diagnosed with a concussion and later released. After the boy returned home, his father felt that something was not quite right with his son.

Southeast Delco School District Superintendent Stephen Butz told WPVI-TV that the district is concerned for Bailey but, "due to the age of the students involved and the ongoing police investigation, I am unable to make any additional comments."

Butz reiterated to ABC News that the police are handling the incident. "We take bullying seriously," he told ABCNews.com.
