FX has finally announced that "American Crime Story Season 2: The People v. O.J. Simpson will feature Hurricane Katrina. EP Ryan Murphy discussed how the natural disaster is related to crime. Also, the network has released the official first full-length trailer for the upcoming season.

FX officially announces that the "American Crime Story Season 2: The People v. O.J. Simpson" storyline will evolve around Hurricane Katrina. According to Entertainment Weekly, the series will feature the 2005 natural disaster with 10-episodic run. The filming took place in New Orleans last October 2015 and is slated to air on February 2016.

On the other hand, executive producer Ryan Murphy discussed to The Hollywood Reporter on what fans should expect in the latest anthology series. Murphy stated, "I want this show to be a socially conscious, socially aware examination of different types of crime around the world. And in my opinion, Katrina was a f--ing crime -- a crime against a lot of people who didn't have a strong voice and we're going to treat it as a crime. That's what this show is all about."

In addition, its network finally released the official first full-length trailer for the upcoming installment of "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson" las December 2015. The clip features a one-minute glimpse of a star-studded cast which includes John Travolta (as Shapiro), Sarah Paulson (as Clark), Selma Blair (as Kris Jenner), Courtney B. Vance (as Cochran), David Schwimmer (as Kardashian), and Cuba Gooding Jr. (as Simpson) as mentioned on Black Enterprise.

"American Crime Story Season 2: The People v O.J. Simpson" is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. exclusively on FX. "American Crime Story" is an American true crime anthology TV series created by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski and executively produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.
