Hollywood actor Bill Cosby disallows wife from responding to calls urging her to give testimony in court in the legal battle he is facing accusing him of multiple sexual assaults in the past.

The comedian's lawyers made a motion last Friday to refuse the demands from the accusers' camp of letting his wife Camille testify in court. They cited that the wife has no direct knowledge about the alleged events and that she and her husband have every right to any confidential communication as protected by law in Massachusetts.

"I think she has information that's relevant to the litigation in this matter," argues Joseph Cammarata, an attorney for the actor's accusers, on Friday. Cosby's wife has also been his manager when he married her in 1964 at the age of 19.

Even before any deposition to occur, Camille has already pleaded support for her husband with her statement last year bearing, "The man I met, and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work ... a kind man and a wonderful husband, father and friend."

The couple both denied the allegations asserting that Cosby has never been charged of such crimes although the comedian slipped in 2005 when he admitted that he had gotten a potent sedative Quaaludes to administer to women with whom he wanted to have sex with in the past.

Just two weeks ago, Cosby counter-sued the seven women in a defamation case who initially sued him of defaming them and branding them as "liars." The seven women were identified as Tamara Green, Therese Serignese, Linda Traitz, Louisa Moritz, Barbara Bowman, Joan Tarshis and Angela Leslie.

The 78-year-old actor's attorneys presented that the said women were "relying solely on unsubstantiated accusations" and that they "have engaged in a campaign to assassinate Mr. Cosby's reputation and character by willfully, maliciously, and falsely accusing Mr. Cosby of multi-decade-old purported sexual misconduct."

The New York Magazine documented 35 women who claimed themselves as victims of sexual assault committed by the actor in its July 27 issue. More than 50 women have started coming out to support the same claim.

Bill Cosby is in the middle of fighting against multiple sexual assault cases, some of them calling out to his wife to reveal the truth. His reputation has gone downhill with many of his honorary degrees being rescinded by various institutions with Oberlin College amongst the latest.
