The sequel to Richard Linklater's 'Dazed and Confused' gets a new title 'Everybody Wants Some'. It will be a comedic coming-of-age film set in the 1980's. The new film's official trailer has been recently released and featured new characters and adventures.

The new trailer for 'Everybody Wants Some' has finally debuted and featured a brand new cast of characters including Blake Jenner, Ryan Guzman, Tyler Hoechlin, Wyatt Russell, Zoey Deutch, Glen Powell and Will Brittain among others. The trailer, posted on Consequence of Sound, showed the new film's setting in the 1980's as well. Although the film is set a decade after Richard Linklater's first cult favorite released in 1993, the upcoming coming-of-age film is aptly reminiscent of the filmmaker's original classic.

According to Rolling Stone, Linklater's "spiritual sequel' to 'Dazed and Confused' is set to debut at the South by Southwest Film Conference in March. The new film will follow a group of college freshmen and their adventures as new baseball recruits. The teaser dripped with nostalgic awkwardness, budding romance and slapstick humor but in the best way possible.

The original 1993 film featured an ensemble cast of Jason London, Rory Cochrane, Matthew McConaughey, Michelle Burke, Adam Goldberg, Milla Jovovich, Ben Affleck, Parker Posey and Renee Zellweger in their younger years. It followed a group of teenagers on their last day of school in 1976, according to Zap2It. Although the film grossed a mere $8 million at the box office, it eventually reached cult film status and even ranked third in Entertainment Weekly Magazine's 50 Best High School Movies of all time.

'Everybody Wants Some' is the sequel to 1993's 'Dazed and Confused'. It is an upcoming comedy film set to premiere at the SXSW Conference in March and is scheduled to be released in theaters on April 15, 2016. It is written and directed by Richard Linklater, the original film's director.
