China's economic planning agency signed a deal in Berlin on Friday to purchase an unspecified number of Airbus (AIR.PA) A320 planes.

China's National Development and Reform Commission also signed a letter of intent to order an unspecified number of A330 jets at a later and as yet unspecified time. It said this was dependent on a cabin completion center being built in Tianjin.
