U2's 2014 tour and album release is postponed to next year; Band is taking longer to finish the album as they grow older

Rock band U2 recently confirmed that the release of their new album as well as their tour will be moved to 2015.

In a report by Billboard, the site spilled that the album release has been pushed to next year and the group is recently conducting additional sessions with producers Ryan Tedder and Paul Epworth.

A source close to the project allegedly revealed that the album is taking longer to finish as the band members get older.

"It seems to be taking longer for them to finish an album as they get older, but the great thing about U2 is that the whole of a record is always better than the sum of its parts. That magic that the band always seems to capture ... they have yet to capture it," spilled the source.

According to KpopStars, the band is reportedly looking for more creative inspiration as well as time to work on the new album.

"We've always needed collaborators to challenge us. We're slow learners. We need to be creative, on the cutting edge, challenged, and it's really hard going, it's relentless, and we're relentless, and we have a history of breaking engineers, producers." said Larry Mullen as reported by the site.

He added, "I mean, people come out of working with U2 and just go, 'I just don't know what's happened; it feels like a lifetime has passed by.' And that's just the way we work."

Meanwhile, lead singer Bono shared in an interview with Hollywood Reporter that he has been revisiting the band's music and fan enthusiasm that made them play and launch their group who they briefly called Feedback at the beginning.

"I don't want to grow out of that. We consider ourselves to have been the people who stepped out of the audience at those early punk rock shows onto the stage. There was no 'them'; it was only 'us.' We actually took it out of the audience and onto the stage before we could quite play," said the singer.
