Will they find real love in a tropical oasis? Meet the cast of Bachelor in Paradise! Chris Harrison explains it's not about the money, but love

By

It's another season of hook-ups and probably a broken heart or two as Bachelor in Paradise sizzles in the summer airwaves. The show, which is a spin-off to reality TV shows, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette cast eight women and six men who were previous contestants from the past seasons of the two shows. This season, the show is set in sunny Tulum, Mexico, while Chris Harrison reprises his role as the host of the TV series.

Some fans might see the show as a new version of the cancelled Bachelor Pad, where former contestants coupled up to try to win money. However, Chris Harrison insisted that the new series will be more about love than cash, Hollywood Take reported.

"With Bachelor Pad, you got caught up in the game, so that's why we tore it apart and retooled it. It became about money, and our show and franchise was never about that. So I think people will love that Bachelor in Paradise is about what makes The Bachelor and The Bachelorette great - only it's not just [one guy or one girl]. It's that times 10, which leads to love triangles, drama and amazing dates. If you love Bachelor or Bachelorette, you won't not be addicted to it," Harrison said.

The Epoch Times said that the episode will have eight women and eight men - two women will be eliminated by the end of the episode, while the following episode will feature an additional two men, with another two guys eliminated by the end of the episode. All episodes will continue the format.

The first season of Bachelor in Paradise includes:

AshLee Frazier, Christy Hansen, Clare Crawley, Daniella McBride, Danielle Ronco, Elise Mosca, Jackie Parr, Lacy Faddoul, Lucy Aragon, Michelle Kujawa, Michelle Money, and Sarah Herron.

Ben Scott, Brooks Forester, Chris Bukowski, Cody Sattler, Dylan Petit, Graham Bunn, Jesse Kovacs, Kalon McMahon, Marcus Grodd, Marquel Martin, Robert Graham, Tasos Hernandez, and Zack Kalter.

Bachelor in Paradise  premiered on August 4th on ABC and airs every Monday night at 8/7C PM.
