There seems to be no stopping music's power couple Beyoncé and Jay Z as they recently inked a deal with cable giant HBO to gain exclusive rights to film and air the pair's On The Run concert to be held in Paris this coming September.
In a press statement issued by HBO, Programming President, Michael Lombardo said that the couple's first HBO concert event will debut in September. He noted, "This is a major musical event that belongs to HBO. It's going to be a night to remember."
The concert and will be filmed on September 12 and 13 at the Stade de France in Paris - the only international leg of the couple's current tour. The HBO issued statement also said that it will feature Beyoncé and Jay Z performing more than 40 songs from the couple's catalog.
While the husband and wife tandem have appeared in each other's concerts and have recorded a couple of hit songs together, including the hits, Crazy in Love and Drunk in Love, the concert marks the first time that the couple has toured together on the same bill.
But this isn't the first time the power couple teamed up with HBO. Beyoncé is currently appearing in a ten-episode series of concert performances entitled, BEYONCÉ:X10, which airs during Sunday nights. She was also previously seen in the intimate feature-length documentary, Life Is But a Dream, which debuted in February 2013. Jay Z's Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film made its world premiere on HBO in August 2013.
In an article by Forbes, it noted that Beyoncé's Mrs. Carter tour was one of the top grossing tours of 2013, while Jay Z teamed up with Justin Timberlake for a 15-leg Legends of the Summer Tour, which sold out in 14 dates in North America.
Jay Z and Beyoncé's On the Run tour kicked off in June 26 in Miami and it covers 19 stadiums in the United States and two dates in Paris, France.
