‘Penny Dreadful’ Season 2 Spoilers: Sir Malcom Murray’s possible paternal affair with Vanessa; Will Vanessa fall in love with Dorian?

As Showtime's 'Penny Dread' is given the green light to make a comeback with an expanded order of 10 episode, avid followers of the British-American horror series are anticipating for hints about where the plot of season two will revolve.

In a recent report by Enztarz, former James Bond Timothy Dalton who plays the role of Sir Malcom Murray in the show hinted that his character might be the true father of Vanessa Ives, something that fans can look forward to in season 2.

Dalton also opened up about filming a couple of scenes with Vanessa, finding about Sir Malcom Murray's affair with her mother. He said that in the first version, the one that show runner John Logan has opted for, Murray is oblivious to the presence of an eavesdropping Vanessa as well as the emotional damaged that the revelation has caused her.

On the other hand, the second version allegedly shows that Dalton's character actually sees Vanessa as she spies on them behind the bushes. However, this scene ended up being cut by Logan.

While some of the viewers are endlessly speculating whether or not Sir Malcom is indeed the real father of Vanessa, a lot of fans are also looking forward to the next season to find out if the Vanessa will fall in love with Dorian Grey.

Taking the role of Dorian Grey, Reeve Carney said that the anticipated romantic affair between his character and Vanessa may actually happen. Carney noted that Vanessa and Dorian share a unique connection since the time both characters met. Hence, it is possible that Vanessa can breakthrough her fear of possession in order to rekindle the romantic flame with the man she loves.

Meanwhile, fans will be given the opportunity to ask the entire cast of "Penny Dreadful" including Josh Hartnett, Harry Treadaway, and even the director John Logan in the upcoming Comic Con International on July 24 - 27, to be held at San Diego Convention Center. The "Penny Dreadful" team might spill the beans this time.
