‘Friends’ movie reunion ‘not going to happen’ says Courtney Cox [Video]; Matt Le Blanc: ‘No one wants to see us in our 40s’

Just in time for its 10^th anniversary this year, the 90s hit television series, "Friends" has been reported to make a movie comeback, allegedly reuniting all-star cast Matt Le Blanc, Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, and Matther Perry on the silver screen.

But to the dismay of the fans of the classic American sitcom, Courtney Cox directly shot down all hopes of a reunion, bluntly saying it is "not going to happen."

Cox, who played Monica Gellar in the popular series, broke her silence about the real state of the rumored "Friends" reunion in her television appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman."

The "Cougar Town" star explained that the previous cast members of the series are all tied up with their busy and conflicting schedules, making it impossible to plot whatever kind of reunion, most particularly a movie comeback.

"There are six 'Friends' and I have been trying to put together a cast dinner for ten years. It doesn't happen," said Cox. "I can get the girls to come, maybe Matthew Perry. Matt Le Blanc cancelled last time right at the minute. Schwimmer lives here (New York). So it's not going to happen."

Recently nominated for Emmy's for his current TV series "Episodes," Matt Le Blanc also dismissed speculations about their reported reunion. He said that going beyond a 'finite period' in life does not do any justice.

"As far as a reunion project, that's just not in the cards," said Le Blance in an interview with LA Times. "I think that show was about a finite period in your life - after college and before you start your family where your friends are your family - and that's what that show was about. So to go beyond that doesn't feel like you'd do justice to that."

"No one wants to see us in our 40s," he added.

With two of "Friend's" main characters finally dispelling all rumors, fans and hopeful spectators may finally lay this issue to rest.
