Netherlands, Holland coaches accuse FIFA of unfair tactics to favor Brazil in World Cup

By

Two European coaches are now claiming world soccer organization FIFA of resorting to "dirty tactics" and schedule-fixing of matches in order to favor host Brazil in the latter's chances in winning this year's World Cup.

Coach Louis van Gaal of the Netherlands has launched a trade, of which Daily Mail noted is no longer alien to Manchester United supporters, who has claimed that FIFA has succumbed to dirty "tricks" and a lack of "fair play" via alleged fixed World Cup matches. Sir Alex Ferguson the Dutch coach has also echoed the same sentiments earlier, insisting that the host nation would be up against Cameroon in Brasilia for the former's final Group A match four hours after his team meet underdog Chile on Monday in Sao Paulo.

Van Gaal has reportedly expressed his anger tht Brazil have played their first initial group matches ahead of Holland and will now have the advantage of knowing who their opponent is in the likelihood that the Brazilians would reach the second rounds after finishing Cameroon.

Daily Mail said should Brazil win Group A, the team would be meeting the loser of the Holland versus Chile match in the last 16 in Belo Horizonte on Saturday.

Van Gaal stated, "For every match FIFA have this advertisement around fair play. FIFA plays these tricks and it's not a good thing. It's not fair play. We're going to focus on a victory against Chile and I don't think that will be affected by the fact Brazil will play after us. I am just assuming they (Brazil) will do their sporting duty. Why on earth are they (FIFA) doing that (with the match schedule)? That is the question."

Van Gaal also postulated that Brazil might have been avoiding a potential match against the Dutch, knowing how well they have performed in their previous matches against Spain and Australia.

He added, "I can well imagine that Brazil doesn't want to face Holland. We have scored a lot of goals. True. And we have we scored fantastic goals. True as well."

It is not known whether FIFA has addressed both van Gaal's and Ferguson's allegations.
