Elon Musk's social media company, X Corp, has thrust progressive watchdog organization, Media Matters, into the legal spotlight following allegations of ad displays running next to Nazi posts. This lawsuit closely followed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey's respective announcements of investigations into possible fraudulent activity by Media Matters.
