The effort to repeal a new law aimed at giving Colorado's presidential electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote is under way.
The Daily Sentinel reports that hundreds of people signed petitions at three locations in Grand Junction Saturday for a ballot proposal to repeal Colorado's participation with 11 other states and the District of Columbia in the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. They have pledged to pool their presidential votes for the winner of the national popular vote but the pact would only take effect after states with a collective 270 electoral votes join.
