HTC 10 vs Huawei Honor 6X: Which of the Two is Best Buy?

HTC 10 was available since 2016, while Huawei Honor 6X was just recently released. Though the Honor 6X have a classier look, HTC 10's specifications can get on par against it. So what does the two devices have in common, and what could be the advantage of one over the other?

The HTC 10 has a 5.2 inch display, while the Huawei Honor 6X has 5.5 inches. The physical dimensions differ only 1 gram, with Honor being heavier. They use the same LCD technology but of different resolutions. Both comes with Android Marshmallow ou-of-the-box. However, Honor already has a planned upgrade to Nougat, while HTC 10 doesn't have any announcement yet.

In terms of memory, both devices offer 32GB internal capacity both expandable via microSD card. Huawei Honor 6X wins when it comes to camera, as it uses dual technology. Both devices use built-in Hi-Fi audio. In terms of power capacity, HTC 10 wins as it is capable of rapid charging which is not a feature of Honor 6X. Though both devices use rapid fingerprint sensors, only HTC 10 allow NFC for authorizing mobile payments, Android Headlines reported. The most common specifications shared between the two devices are WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and reversible Type-C port.

For a quick individual overview, here are some of the Huawei Honor 6X's primary specifications. It has a 5.5 inch LTPS IPS LCD capacitative touchscreen. It is currently running in Marshmallow but will have an upgrade to Nougat anytime soon. It runs on HiSilicon Kirin 655, Octa-core, and Mali-T830MP2 graphics. It has a built-in 32 GB ROM, 3GB RAM or a 64GB ROM, 4GB RAM variant. The memory can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD. It has Dual 12MP + 2MP, phase detection autofocus primary camera, and an 8MP secondary camera, GSMArena reported.

For the HTC 10, it has a Super LCD5 5.2 inch capacitive touchscreen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It currently runs in Android Marshmallow, with a possibility of a Nougat upgrade which is yet to be announced. It also has 4GB RAM capacity for both 32GB and 64GB variant. The primary camera is 12MP laser autofocus with dual tone flash, and a 5MP secondary camera, as reported by GSMArena.
