Florida Georgia Line, Backstreet Boys Team Up On New Single 'God, Your Mama, and Me'

American country music duo Florida Georgia Line surprised their fans with their new single as they teamed up with an unlikely partner in boy band Backstreet Boys. The new single is from their Dig Your Roots album, released last year.

Brian Kelley, 31, and bandmate Tyler Hubbard, 29, explained the unlikely partnership between the Florida Georgia Line and the Backstreet Boys. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly (EW), the two said that it was their friendship with Nick Carter that made team up possible.

"Nick just started hollering at me and Tyler," Kelley recalled. "He was going back and forth between Nashville and L.A. doing some writing and some song searching, so I passed him some songs and folks. And he ended up on our bus before our CMA set in June, 2016."

Brian Kelley also added that he's been a big fan of the Backstreet Boys ever since he was a kid. Kelley said that the first concert he's ever been to was way back when he was in sixth. It was the Backstreet Boys performing at the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida. Kelley was also in sixth grade when he remembers buying his first CD, the Backstreet Boys.

The latest single, titled "God, Your Mama, and Me", is the third single released by Florida Georgia Line. The release of the new single follows up Florida Georgia Line's two back-to-back No. 1 country singles, which also comes from their Dig Your Roots Album.

Florida Georgia Line already hinted of a possible collaboration with the Backstreet Boys earlier this month. The country duo posted a picture on Twitter of them together with the Backstreet Boys after what they said was an "epic video shoot" day.

After a full summer and fall schedule on their Dig Your Roots tour, Florida Georgia Line is currently on hiatus. Florida Georgia Line's live tour will start off again at the end of this month.
